The Itatiaia National is one of the oldest national parks in Brazil with an incredible range of forest habitats and bird species including endemics. The hotels have excellent feeders which attract many hummingbirds, toucanets, guans, woodpeckers and others. In the high part of the park there is a fantastic mosaic of habitats which include mountain grassland, dwarf forest, lakes and mountain peaks where you can see lot of mountain species.

This photo tour focuses on photographing the prolific birdlife and mammals of the Atlantic Rainforest. This tour includes three different locations with possibility of many tour extensions at Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

A fantastic Photo Tour in the Atlantic Forest where you will take lot of pictures of tanagers, hummingbird, parakeets, toucans and many more and also some mammals species. We will start the tour at Ubatuba Reserve where we will accomodate in an exclusive privaty property in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. Here we explore some of the most interesting birding spots with chances to photograph sloth and monkeys, and you will have the opportunity to install remote cameras to photograph mammals like tayra, paca, agouti and we lucky also puma! The tour will continue at Itatiaia National Park looking for endarenged and spectacular species, then we will move to the state of Rio, to photograph the endemic and endangered Golden lion tamarin!
Maximum number of participants is 3 people with private bird guide, ensuring great results!

ONE DAY BIRDWATCHING TOURS / EXTENSIONS

These tours are made for your time, when you have a large flight range, or lost your flight, instead of staying at the hotel, you can birdwatching and enjoy the nature, in safe places close to Sao Paulo Int Airport. Choosing one of these proposals you will have a fast but very rich birding experience! The tours start early in the morning from the airport (GRU) or from your hotel, we will drive for at maximum 2 hours to reach the location, birding during the day with a break for lunch, drive back to the airport according to your departure time.

Cantareira is one of the biggest urban parks of Sao Paulo state, located very close to GRU Int Airport, in an easy and safe area for birdwatching. A trekking expeditions in search of the Southern Muriqui (Brachyteles arachnoides), called also Woolly Spider Monkey. It's endemic to Brazil and the largest primates in the Americas.
