A geological formation resulting from the collapse of rock blocks through thousands years ago creating this enormous cavity: it has a circumference of 500 meters (1600 feet) and the depth reaches 100 meters (330 feet).
We will enter in the area in the morning or in the afternoon, photographing from 2 big decks located on opposite sides in order to have always the best light conditions. There are around 24 red-and-green macaws nesting inside the sinkhole, and many other outside. You will have the opportunity to phograph them close up or in flight with different background. The pictures you can take here are amazing!
At the bottom, an emerald-green lagoon, surrounded by exuberant vegetation, is home of caimans whose survival is a mystery. Besides them and the macaws, mammals such as armadillos, anteaters, coatis, foxes and others 130 birds species, including ibises and toucans.
