A fantastic location off the beaten track in the Paranapiacaba Mountains. Toucan's Trail is a private reserve of 70ha characterized by a well conserved forest and home of extraordinary wildlife. The lodge was built in a quiet place with great harmony and contact with nature.

Here you can observe lot of birds in the bird feeders such as parakeets, aracaris, tanagers, woodpeckers, hummingbirds and in the forest you will search for rare, endemic and endangered birds.

Important mammals are also present in the reserve, puma, ocelot, tapir, deers was already filmed by camera traps, tayras and squirrels regularly seen daytime around the feeders.

The Serra do Mar State Park is the largest protected area in the Atlantic Forest. Actually, just the 7% of the original Atlantic Forest survives, but the province of Ubatuba is covered by more than 90% of its terrytory by forest! Here we can observe the 30% of Brazilian birds and 5% of all birds on the planet!

The Itatiaia National Park is a conservation area that protects important remnants of the Atlantic Forest Biome. This is the oldest national park in Brazil, created on June 14, 1937. GOLDEN LION TAMARIN

The golden lion tamarin (Leontopithecus rosalia) is one of the world's most endangered mammals, with a population of about 3,500 individuals. Their distribution range is very limited and confined to a small area at less then 300m altitude, of the Atlantic Forest in the Rio de Janeiro state.
